Dr. Jeannine M. Brant is an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Scientist at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. Her early work addressed cancer disparities in American Indians (AI), which led to the development of the AI Women Reaching for Wellness Program. The program spread from 2 reservations to 8, educated over 20,000 AI women, increased mammography in AI women from 5 to 200/year, and produced an award-winning film, Standing Strong Against the Cancer Enemy. A leader in cancer and palliative care, Dr. Brant currently serves on the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Pain Guideline Team, International Advisory Panel, and Regional Palliative Care Conference Planning Committee; the American Society of Clinical Oncology Palliative Care Symposium Planning Committee; and the National Cancer Institute Executive Committee with oversight for Palliative Care in the Middle East.
Dr. Brant is a prolific writer with more than 75 contributions to the literature on cancer, palliative care, and pain and symptom management and is an editor of the Oncology Nursing Society Standards of Oncology Nursing Practice, the ONS Core Curriculum, and the Journal of Advanced Practitioners in Oncology. As an internationally recognized speaker, she has given more than 200 lectures around the world with her most recent work focused in the Middle East, where she provides consultation and education to nurses and physicians from countries throughout the Middle East. Dr. Brant is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Montana Geriatric Education Center, University of Southern Indiana pain certificate program, and Montana College of Nursing.

Kelley D. Mayden is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and as an Advanced Oncology-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is also the founder of the essential oil therapy–based corporation, Salt Tart Solutions, where she incorporates aromatherapy into holistic patient care. As a noted author and lecturer at local and national levels, Ms. Mayden’s interests include cancer prevention and wellness, blood disorders, breast cancer, and complementary and alternative medicine. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), American Holistic Nurses Association, and the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. She was honored in 2005 with a Nurse Practitioner of the Year award from the Northeast Tennessee Nurse Practitioners Association and ONS Nurse of the Year: Best in Clinical Practice 2005. Dr. Carrie Tompkins Stricker is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner in the Hematology/Oncology Division of the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She also serves as a lecturer and has held an adjunct faculty post in the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania for more than 15 years, primarily focused on the education of advanced practice nurses in oncology. Dr. Stricker is recognized for her clinical and research expertise in cancer survivorship care, as well as in evidence-based symptom assessment and management, particularly in women with breast cancer. She has published in journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, the Journal of Cancer Survivorship, and the Oncology Nursing Forum. Dr. Stricker received her doctorate in nursing from the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, and thereafter served as Director of Clinical Programs for Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center Survivorship Center of Excellence from 2007 to 2013.
In 2013, driven by a desire to overcome gaps in care by leveraging information technology solutions, Dr. Stricker cofounded and became Chief Clinical Officer of the oncology-focused health information technology company, On Q Health, Inc. At On Q, Dr. Stricker is responsible for overseeing the clinical development, implementation, and evaluation of On Q Health’s software solutions focused on oncology supportive care planning and symptom management.
