Treatment of Multiple Myeloma in the First-Line, Maintenance, and Relapsed/Refractory Settings: Part of the 2016 Advanced Clinical Educator Program in Multiple Myeloma

This activity includes:

  • CE-Certified Live ACE Candidate Institutional Presentation

Purpose
The goal of this activity is to improve participants’ knowledge and competence in current and emerging treatment approaches for patients with multiple myeloma in the first-line, maintenance, and relapsed/refractory settings.

Course Overview
The treatment armamentarium for multiple myeloma (MM) has expanded significantly in recent years, with 4 new therapies approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2015 alone. Additionally, best practices and consensus guidelines for MM are continually evolving as new data are published. This activity will review current treatment approaches and guidelines/recommendations for newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory MM, recent clinical trial data on novel and emerging therapies, and dosage/administration strategies for these therapies.

Advanced Clinical Educator (ACE) Candidates are providing this presentation as part of the 2016 Advanced Clinical Educator Program in Multiple Myeloma to become subject matter experts and speakers in this therapeutic area and receive ACE certification.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for oncology/hematology nurses who treat or manage multiple myeloma.
